MediaConnect is proud to organise and host the IT Journalism Awards on behalf of the IT media community in Australia and New Zealand.

The awards are affectionately known as The Lizzies, in reference to the 'Lizards' nickname that has been adopted by the Australian IT media community. 

On the 11th of April 2008 the event will recognise excellence in IT media and journalism throughout 2007 and also celebrate its sixth year running with the continued support of sponsor Sun Microsystems.

From humble beginnings at Dockside Hotel, the Ballroom at the glamorous Star City Casino now plays host to the IT media's night of nights to be attended by over 300 IT journalists, vendors and PR professionals.

We anticipate more entries than ever before this year and look forward to an even bigger and more spectacular gala dinner event.
