The Cass Warneminde Best News Journalist award will recognise the journalist who broke the most significant news stories related to the Australian IT industry in 2009. This award is now judged based on the submission of 4 news stories, rather than the previous Epitome accumulate points totals. This change was made as a result of the replacement of the old Epitome point system with this year's Kudos system.


How to Enter

Submit 3 or 4 articles that do not exceed 6000 words in total.

Criteria

Subject Matter
Judges will score the subject matter out of 10; based on originality; importance; general interest and usefulness


Insight
Judges will score the article for insight out of 10, based on accuracy; the value of the insights; the quality and relevance of the sources/opinions.


Writing Quality
Judges will score the articles for their writing quality out of 10, based on grammar; article flow; flair; readability and entertainment value
