The Best Production Team award will recognise the ability of a print production team including sub-editors, editors, graphic artists or designers to enhance a raw copy through photography, illustrations, headlines, graphics, use of colour, design and layout, captions and box out illustrations. The award will be given to the production team who have been the most successful in using graphical elements and page/website layout to enhance the power and communication abilities of a newspaper, magazine or website.

Flair and aesthetics
A title should be a delight to look at with good use of graphics, photos, illustrations and design.
Readability
The best production team should produce a title that exemplifies best practice in terms of using fonts, illustration, colours and whitespace to make the content leap from the page.
Headlines, captions, box out or pull quotes
The best production team should produce a title that makes use of outstanding, clever, powerful or attention grabbing as well as highly effective headlines, quotes and captions which appropriately draw the reader into the content and greatly assist navigation.
Copy quality
The best production team should produce a title of the highest editorial quality. Copy should read and flow beautifully, grammar and punctuation should be perfect and stories should be extremely well-structured.
Navigation
The best production team should produce a title that flows seamlessly and which uses well-thought out navigation aids to enable a reader to very easily and quickly navigate to sec-
tions, stories or information that are of most interest.

Note: The Print Production Team category will be judged on a magazine or title in its entirety, rather than on the basis of individual pages or projects.

Marks:
Each of the criteria should be given a mark out of 10.
