Please note: All submissions must have been published (appeared on newsstands or have been sent to subscribers) in 2011.



ENTRY CONTENT WORD LIMIT

We require the submission of up to four articles for titles and three for individual awards. All submissions should not exceed 6000 words in total. For instance, you can choose to enter three 2000 word articles or four 1500 word articles. This has been made to decrease the time it takes to judge the awards and to introduce a standard way to judge editorial quality across all categories.

 

The awards are split into six categories. This year's awards are as follows:



GOLD LIZZIES

The Gold Lizzies will recognise the single best journalist and title for the year of 2011

MEDIA AWARDS

The Media Awards aim to recognise the team behind a publication and incorporate criteria to measure both production quality and commercial success.

 

Best Magazine*

Best Website*

Best Audio Program or Coverage*

Best Video Program*



COVERAGE AWARDS

The Coverage Awards aim to recognise editorial quality by a team of journalists working for a single masthead on a single beat. Must include more than one journalists work.

 

Best News Coverage

Best Personal Technology Coverage

Best Business Technology Coverage

Best Gaming Coverage



BEST AWARDS

The Beats Awards aim to recognise individual journalists who demonstrate the greatest skill in delivering content for a particular audience.

 

Best Consumer Technology Journalist

Best Technology Industry Journalist

Best Business Technology Journalist

Best Gaming Journalist



JOURNALISM AWARDS

The Journalist Awards aim to recognise journalists who excel in different journalism forms

 

Best News Journalist

Best Reviewer

Best Technical Journalist

Best New Journalist

Best Columnist



MEDIA RELATIONS AWARD

The PR Award aims to recognise one PR practitioner for their excellence in professionally handling media relations based on journalist's votes. In addition to the Winner, Commendations may be awarded to a PR professional working in each of the following:

 

a) an internal communications role

b) a boutique agency (less than 5 consultants)

c) a larger agency of 6 or more consultants

 

*Commendations to be awarded for the best title from a small publisher and the best new title
