The Coverage Awards aim to recognise editorial quality by a team of journalists working for a single masthead

BEAT AWARDS

The Beats Awards aim to recognise journalists who demonstrate the greatest skill in delivering content for a particular audience.

JOURNALISM AWARDS

The Journalist Awards aim to recognise journalists who excel in using different journalism forms

The PR Award which aims to recognise one PR practitioner for their excellence in professionally handling media relations

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ENTRANTS:
Friday 12th, February

ENTRY CONTENT WORD LIMIT

We now require the submission of up to four (rather than six) articles for all categories including Publishing awards. Submissions should include no more than three articles above 1500 words and should not exceed 6000 words in total. For instance, you can choose to enter three 2000 word articles or four 1500 word articles. This change has been made to decrease the time it takes to judge the awards and to introduce a standard way to judge editorial quality across all categories.

Magazines Awards (3. Best Technology Magazine)

1. To submit a magazine, please register your entry on this website on the ENTRY FORM with your supporting arguments and four selected editorial pieces
2. We require a soft copy submission via the entry form and a hard copy submission which includes two copies of three different issues to MediaConnect Australia, 104/8 Century Cct, Norwest central, Baulkham Hills, NSW, 2153 Attention Jo-Anne Hui
3. Issues must have been published (appeared on newsstands or have been sent to subscribers) in 2009

Website Award (4. Best Website)

1. Please fill out the ENTRY FORM, complete with the URL for your website and supporting arguments
Please notes: Due to the awards recognising 2009 work, websites that have had significant 2010 upgrades prior to the judging period cannot be included unless the judges are able to view a version of the site reflecting its 2009 appearance and functionality. If you are planning an upgrade, please contact MediaConnect so we can ensure your website is judged prior to the upgrade.

Multimedia Awards (5. Best Audio Program, 6. Best Video Program)

1. Please fill out the ENTRY FORM with supporting arguments
2. You may provide soft-copies of your entry by entering a link or uploading a file, however if your file is particularly large we ask that you send us your entries on DVD or CD. Please indicate on the entry form that you will be sending via hard-copy and post DVDs to MediaConnect Australia, 104/8 Century Cct, Norwest central, Baulkham Hills, NSW, 2153 Attention Jo-Anne Hui

Editorial Awards (11. Best Gaming Coverage, 8. Best Technology Industry Coverage, 9. Best Business Technology Coverage, 10. Best Personal Technology Coverage)

1. Please fill out the ENTRY FORM with supporting arguments
2. If you are a print publication you have the option of providing either a hard-copy of your magazine, or selecting four articles that represent the quality of your editorial. Articles can be send as a PDF file or via URL links.

Individual Awards:

1. Please fill out the ENTRY FORM with three or four articles. You may optionally also provide supporting arguments
2. Articles can be sent as a PDF file or via URL links and total word count should not exceed 6000 words
