Risky Business and Jeanne-Vida Douglas win Gold Lizzies
In a triumph for niche publishing, security podcast Risky Business took out the award for Best Title at the Red Rock Consulting IT Journalism Awards last night.
According to judge and former News.com.au technology editor Chloe Lake, "Risky Business has managed to take a traditionally dry (some might say boring) topic area and turn it into compelling, well-paced, fresh content that is commercially viable to boot. A very impressive achievement."
Meanwhile, BRW web editor and business journalist Jeanne-Vida Douglas was the first "chick" to scoop up the prize for Best Journalist in the eight-year history of the awards, also picking up the gong for Best Business Technology Journalist. And in the Best Magazine category, Choice Computer was triumphant while CNET took home the prize for Best Website.
