Postponement of Samsung IT Journalism Awards

The Samsung IT Journalism Awards for 2020 have been postponed until later in the year. This decision is taken with reference to the current and evolving challenges presented by COVID19.

Nothing is more important than your health and safety. Our sponsors, Samsung, Amazon Web Services, Watterson Marketing Communications, Atlassian and Enex Testlabs have backed this decision to postpone. We all believe it is the right and responsible thing to do.

We considered other options, but the overwhelming consensus from the community is that you deeply value the opportunity that the Lizzies provides to truly come together and share in each other’s success. Unfortunately, now is not the right time for that to happen.

We are working with Luna Park to reschedule, but of course, won’t set a date until we know it is safe to hold an event of this nature again.

All tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled Awards. However, if you would like a refund then please let us know and we will organise that for you.

The team at MediaConnect would like to thank everyone for their support to date of the 2020 Awards. This year’s event has received amazing backing from the event sponsors, the entrants and judges. So much hard work has already gone towards recognising the fantastic work of the IT journalism community. We’re still determined to make that happen and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Feel free to get in contact via reply email or call us on (02) 9894 6277 if you have questions we can help you with.
