Watterson to reward creative country style at the 2020 Samsung IT Journalism Awards

The Watterson Marketing Communications Best Dressed awards will return again at the 2020 Samsung IT Journalism Awards, rewarding the Best-Dressed Female and Best-Dressed Male journalists with vouchers to the Merivale chain of restaurants.

“The theme this year is ‘country’ in recognition of the drought and bushfires that have devastated the rural sector,” said Hannah Watterson, director, Watterson Marketing Communications.

“Participants can come in country attire, but they could also be more adventurous and choose a costume relevant to a country town – think a slice of cheese for Bega, or part of a Devonshire Tea for Scone.”

Watterson will donate an amount equivalent to the prizes to the Country Women’s Association’s Disaster Relief Fund, which provides financial grants to families who have been impacted by the drought and bushfires.

To date, CWA NSW has processed nearly 10,000 applications and distributed nearly $17 million to those affected by drought.
